first, some site news:
i’m sure most of you have noticed by now that the web site has changed appearances slightly. the past week i’ve rewritten the entire server engine in java (which was alot easier than it sounds..), and took the chance to tweak the new layout a bit. the comment posting ability is finished, so feel free to leave your comments on any of my blogs.. the software, and pictures sections will be be working any day now.. I promise =).
now, on with the show..
amidst all the coding i’ve been doing this week.. I took a walk down memory lane and found my first ever open source project. it was first released back in early 2000(!) check it out for some laughs: AMPD - An MP3 Player Daemon (it an archive, so everything may not work)
it’s funny how far along you can come in 4 years. this opportunity at jboss is really going to launch my career I feel. I’ve been slowly moving up the chain in the past 5 years of IT industry experience, but this will be a huge jump if it comes through, and I’m really excited about it. (for coolness factor, check out this link). if all goes well, the upcoming release of jboss-aop beta4 will have me and honain’s work in it. go us!.
in other news, my brother pointed me to a website called the blue letter bible that i’ve found to be a really awesome resource for just about anything christian. yesterday i read about 2 or 3 sermons from Charles H. Spurgeon, and listened to the audio version of the KJV of Matthew.. you could spend a lifetime digesting the wealth of information this site has.
