it seems like when you’re so close to finishing something, something extra always comes up.. especially in software. i started working on documentation for jboss-aop-ide, and naturally i found some bugs while running through the tutorial case. hopefully i’ve fixed all of them at this point, or at least they’re not complete show stoppers.
so paige and i finally picked up cell phones. we’ve been living ‘disconnected’ for the better part of 7 months, now.. and I can’t say it’s been total misery. it basically makes you realize how compulsively you use your phone when you have it, and there are very rarely times when you actually *must* have a cell phone. but, i regress.. the convenience factor is all to great, especially since there looks to be the opportunity of travel in my new position.
those without a sense of humour should probably stop reading now. all of this next paragraph is in jest. you were warned.
i had originally planned to call today’s blog “a morning without a mexican”, but my good taste caught me. you could probably ask in a serious tone.. why would i choose such a derisive title? is marshall truely a spic hating nazi? let’s imagine you work out 3 days per week. you go with 2 of your closest friends. let’s imagine that every other week, you switch off driving duties with one of these friends. now, let’s pretend that it’s your friend’s week to drive, it’s 6AM in the morning, and you’re waiting for your ride. he doesn’t show. no call, no voice message, no nothing. he also happens to be a mexican. i imagine he was probably helping his brothers jump the border or something, but you have to have priorities here people. seriously. and, just for good measure, let’s make sure that your other friend decides not to show up as well. double trouble! wouldn’t you know? he’s from pakistan. do we see a recurring theme here? if you want your race not to be shunned by the white man, try learning how to be places on time!.
honestly, i got nothin’ but love for my paki and mexican brotha’s out there. just don’t be so freaking fickle (this applies to all humans.)
this blog was dedicated to opie. only he would understand the signifigance of this blog’s title.
