my, my.. what a weekend it’s been. i’ve been visiting ebay alot this weekend, selling my old sony ericsson t616 (i got $100, woot!), and picking up a motorola hf800 bluetooth wireless speaker. my new difusi bluetooth adapter should be coming in the mail any day now….
honain, jorge, and i finally got a chance to hang out with tin (a vietnamese pal of ours who we play racquetball with) on saturday night. tin and his girlfriend were showing enough PDA that night to make just about everyone blush. of course, it made for good jokes afterwords.. so it was almost worth it. we played a total of 7 pool games, and a handful of foozball games (that i decided to be excluded from.. i really don’t care for the game). as we were leaving the pool hall, tin asked us if we wanted to go to the “titty bar” with him and his girlfriend. i think that was the first time i’ve been asked to go to one of those places since i was a teenager. naturally, we all ducked out gracefully and regrouped at IHOP. nida, jorge’s fiance, decided to show up. we had pancakes with fruit, and laughed about all kinds of random stuff. all and all, the night was fun.. but i’ll probably never bring myself to be found in a public place with tin ever again.
paige and i had an expedited date today (we had to get her home by 5 so she could be at work by 5:30), but it was good. we want over to chili’s and grabbed a quick lunch. the chili’s (or as paige persisted: philly) cheesesteak sandwich is really not that great, but.. it’s suffice. paige ordered off the kids meal and apparently our waiter had no problem with it. i can’t say i totally blame him.. who was he to turn down a beautiful woman a cheaper meal? after the meal we went and saw the manchurian candidate. the movie was decent, i would have to agree with paige and say that meryl streep gave the best performance in this movie. i’m normally a huge denzel washington fan, but his character was too annoying for me to like in this movie. the plot was pretty predictable, but not completely devoid of substance. there were a few moments where you’re ready to shut your eyes so you don’t have to see the grotesque things that are about to happen.. they end up hiding most of the gore though. i’d recommend seeing it once, but probably not again.
today was my brother chase’s 13th birthday.. happy birthday chase! my mom has nothing but teenagers in her house now.. i seriously don’t envy her. we’re supposed to go to the rangers game on saturday and celebrate his birthday.. hopefully the game isn’t too boring.
