the past few days my blog has been in the process of being ported over to the wordpress blog engine. i’m pretty impressed so far, even though it is written in php. the admin interface is very nice, and changing the interface to my custom layout has been fairly painless. i’ll be re-adding my old links soon, but for now all you’ll be able to see is the last 5 entries of my blog ;).
i returned from denver, co thursday night. it was mighty cold there — it actually snowed once. this is something us texans don’t get the chance to see very often. i trained monday and tuesday, and gave my now infamous webinar over jboss-ide on wednesday afternoon. it’s pretty amazing how intimidating it can be to talk to around 100 people who are weighing your every word. lots of fun.
jeremy has graduated college (i attended the graduation a few weeks ago when i was in austin) and has moved into my apartment complex with his friend adrian. he’s looking into law schools in southern california that will hopefully be more affordable than SMU.
paige started her new job a week or so ago with jorge’s fiance nida. they run an online jewelry store called eSilverTrend that lists on ebay. she’s having fun so far, and getting along well with nida.. paige hopes she can help nida grow her business.
it looks like i’ll be heading to switzerland at the beginning of next year to have a jboss-ide meeting w/ my team members in europe. i honestly can’t wait to get my first experience of europe. i’m hoping to take some time off while i’m there so paige and i can enjoy france and/or germany.

I’ve been to Switzerland. I bought an army knife. I’ve since lost it
We went for the first two days of our Europe trip. I ripped a huge gash down my jeans’ asscrack the first night.
I was 14 or 15 at the time. It was a tramautic experience for me…
You went to switzerland and all you remember is a knife and a tear in your pants? You should come with me and we can go see the Alps..
I’m sad and lonely without additional posts from Marshall
