It’s a pretty amazing thing when you find out your wife is pregnant for the first time. It should probably come as no surprise then, that the past 4 months I’ve run the gamut of emotions from excited, anxious, and giddy to thoughtful, reflective, and inquisitive. Paige and I routinely spout off new-found facts that we’ve dug up from the cornucopia of baby sites as badges of honor. Add to this a growing list of things I never could have imagined:
My personal favorite ongoing metric is the “current size” of the baby, as different sites give different objects of reference. Some of my favorites: 2-liter bottle (momma), Sock monkey (wow!), Rubber ducky, and Bell Pepper (this week).
After my return from the trip to California for the Titanium Beta Launch Party, we will be heading to the doctor to find out the gender, and hopefully pick out a name… the list will only get bigger I’m sure!

Ha, congratulations! I too was a fan of the food comparisons… although there was always something odd about comparing your child-to-be to food items… it always gave me a craving. “Hmmm is it weird that I want to eat an apple now that I know the baby is the same size??”
Luckily the food comparisons stop once the baby actually starts resembling a human.
For me though, abstaining from sushi was harder than abstaining from alcohol.
Enjoy the ride! It only gets more fun (and challenging) from here!
